"Building With The Right Person" What changed in our day-to-day reality when we started building together properly.

When Elfinity started in 2022 — it was just me and my mother.

That is where the real story begins.

Not with a team. Not with a co-founder. Not with a structured plan.

Just a mother's belief and a son's oath.

From that day until March 5, 2024 — I carried everything alone.

And I mean everything.

I arranged food for the people who worked with me. I found them PG accommodation. I paid their salaries. I gave them direction, clarity, and my complete trust.

And what did most of them do with it?

They pretended to listen. Then did whatever they wanted behind my back. They manipulated people around them. They demotivated others. They created problems where there were none.

And when things went wrong — as they inevitably do in any building journey — it was always my fault.

The team failed? My fault. The co-founding team didn't execute? My fault. The employees didn't follow direction? Still my fault.

I was the one holding everything together. And I was the one blamed when anything slipped.

This was not one person. This was a pattern.

Partners. Friends. Employees. Even relatives.

Most people who came close did not come to build with me. They came to build from me. To use the ecosystem I was creating — for their own benefit.

Every single day I woke up and carried this weight alone.

Making decisions from my own knowledge and experience — because there was no one I could truly trust to think with me.

That was the reality before March 5, 2024.

After March 5, 2024

When Hema came into this journey — the same people tried to manipulate her too.

The same patterns. The same tactics. The same energy that had followed me for years.

But something was different this time.

Because for the first time — I was not alone in navigating it.

I guided Hema through what I had learned. She understood quickly. And when we restarted everything together — properly, with alignment and intention — everything began to change.

Not overnight. Not without struggle.

But the direction changed.

When we started, we didn't even have complete clarity on our vision and mission. We knew the direction — but not the full picture.

Today we are building something much bigger than what either of us originally imagined.

And the most important thing?

We are building it together.

Hema contributes through her expertise. I contribute through mine. And together — we are becoming something neither of us could have been alone.

Hema's Voice

Before March 5, 2024

I started my entrepreneurship journey in college.

I had fire. I had energy. I had the will to build.

What I didn't have — was anyone who truly understood what that journey requires.

When my team collapsed while I was away for a family emergency — I came back to an office that felt like a shell of everything I had built.

I removed everyone.

And then I sat alone in that office.

Every single day.

Motivating myself to wake up. To get dressed. To go in.

Not to build — because I had lost the direction to build.

Just to connect. To network. To collect referrals and earn success fees wherever I could.

I was directionless.

The confidence I had when I started — the same confidence that made me leave college and say yes to entrepreneurship — had quietly been replaced by something I didn't want to name.

Fear.

Fear of whether this was really possible. Fear of whether I was really capable. Fear that maybe the people who doubted me were right.

And there was something else.

I come from a village background. An orthodox family.

My parents — as supportive as they had become — still carried the natural fears any family carries for a girl building a business alone.

How will you meet so many people? How will you travel safely? What about your financial situation? What about all these big discussions with unknown people?

My mother used to be on video call with me every time I went to meet a new client.

Every single time.

Until I reached safely.

I was praying in those days.

Not for a big break. Not for a funding round.

Just for magic.

Let me find myself first. Let me align with my purpose again. Let me build the way I imagined before I stepped into this journey.

After March 5, 2024

And then I met Ajay.

And every single thing I was praying for — answered.

Not dramatically. Not all at once.

But real.

He made me feel safe — genuinely safe — in a way I had not felt since I started building alone.

He said — "I am there with you. Whatever risk we need to take — I am at your back."

And he meant it.

My parents — who had been quietly worried for so long — became worry free.

They saw who he was. They saw how he showed up. They saw that I was no longer alone in this.

And something in them relaxed.

Something in me relaxed too.

The fear that had settled into my daily reality — quietly, without me even fully noticing — began to lift.

We aligned on the same purpose. We understood each other's thinking. We divided the work in a way that made sense. We started creating real value — not just activity.

Things we had only imagined became possible.

And the most surprising thing?

What we planned when we first started together was small.

Through research, through deep business discussions, through building and learning and experiencing together — we started thinking much bigger.

Every day felt like we were moving higher.

And for the first time since I stepped into entrepreneurship — the actual business had truly begun.

What Building With The Right Person Actually Means

It is not about skills.

Ajay has his strengths. I have mine. Together we cover what neither of us could cover alone.

But that is not really what changed.

What changed was the feeling of the journey.

Before — every day was a weight to carry. After — every day became something to build.

Before — problems were isolating. After — challenges became shared.

Before — the vision was blurry and small. After — the vision became clear and bigger than either of us had imagined.

The right person does not complete you.

They make you more completely yourself.

And when you find that person — in business, in co-founding, in the journey of building something real —

You will know.

Not because everything becomes easy.

But because nothing feels impossible anymore.

A Note For Every Founder Reading This

If you are building alone right now —

We see you.

We know what that weight feels like. We know what it costs — every single day — to carry a vision that nobody else around you fully understands.

Keep going.

The right person exists.

Not the person who comes to build from you. The person who comes to build with you.

There is a difference.

And when they arrive —

You will feel it.

Until Edition 22 — Keep building. Keep trusting. Keep going.

"The strongest startup you will ever build is yourself." — Dr. Ajay Reddy Zane
